Would You Splurge: Karen Walker

If I had to pick a go to designer for eye wear this year I would have to direct you to American Fashion Designer Karen Walker. Her eye wear this season is so fun and fit perfectly with a few of the trends this season. Below is a picture of one pair of Karen Walker sunglasses that fit the neon trend this season.

Now the question is would you splurge on a pair of Karen Walker sunglasses. These trendy pieces start at $329 and go up to about $400 dollars. Ladies they are an investment piece, so when you purchase these glasses know that they will be able to come back out each spring summer season.

An Editors Pick For: The Met Ball

Yes I am back! I have been busy with tons of work and I'm sorry for not posting but now that I have a little free time, why not do some blog post. So as some people may know the Met Ball is coming up next week on the 7th which means there are going to be tons of amazing gowns and couture walking the red carpet. The Met Ball in my opinion is the Fashion Forward version of the Oscars, is a Gala that celebrates the annual opening of the Metropolitan Museum fashion exhibit at the Costume Institute. Below I've picked a few dresses I would pick to hit the Red Carpet.

Marchesa Fall 2012: What Marchesa does show be considered couture! Marchesa does nothing wrong in my eyes because they are one of the few brands that create art! This was my favorite dress from the collection so it would be amazing to see this walk the carpet at the Met Ball!

Tadashi Shoji Fall 2012: Tadashi Shoji is another one of America's top gown designers. This dress below is amazing for somebody whose attending as a guest of a designer or actor!

                                        :
Bibhu Mohapatra Fall 2012: I just think this gown is so pretty and the detailing on the sides of the corset are genius. Perfect option for the Met Ball

Zac Posen Fall 2012: Zac Posen is the definition of High Fashion! His gowns give me chills! This is a statement gown that needs to hit the carpet!

Would You Rock:Leather Shorts

American Fashion Brand Alice + Olivia have some great looking short options for the upcoming warm weather including these red leather ones and it got me thinking, are leather shorts something you ladies would actually wear. What I appreciate about Alice + Olivia is there impeccable styling, they show off there garments in a wonderful fashion so these leather shorts look amazing. But when I think of leather the first thing that comes to mind is hot car seat and I'm wondering if that same concept goes for leather clothing on skin. But leather shorts, and leather articles of clothing in general are good piece to add to your wardrobe. If your shopping around for leather shorts ladies I highly recommend this pair from Alice + Olivia, they truly make quality clothing!

Ladies Sound Off, are your feeling the leather short.

These shorts are $365 dollars

Mens Fashion Would You Splurge: Marc Jacobs

So Ive decided to commit to atleast 3 mens post a week because the two mens test posts I did on my blog recieved more view on the days they were posted than the ladies posts so this is my first official mens blog post! The amount of money men will spend to stand out and be different is ridiclous, most men who make an effort to dress nice spend just as much as ladies so "Would You Splurge" post are perfect for the guy.

Today we have Lightweight Color-Blocked Cardigans from Marc by Marc Jacobs. If you do not know, Marc Jacobs is arguably the best American Designer showing at #NYFW; He is a genius in the fashion industry, looked up to and swooned over by many. As for the cardigans, every man should own a cardigan, its like the more relaxed verison of the blazer in my opinion but you can still wear one to the office or a casual event.

The first cardigan you see is $298 dollars while the second one is $228 (Yes they are different cardigans)
Color blocking is on trend for both the ladies and men this season. Guys dont be scared of color and stepping outside your comfort zone. The cardigan with the pink in it might be alittle much for some but it would go perfect with a pair of brown loafers or oxfords and if your a sneaker guy a pair of Navy Blue Vans will be a good choice with a pair of cargos.

Celebrities Wear: Lela Rose

So Reality T.V. stars I normally consider B list celebrities (sorry) but when one is spotting in a design from an American Fashion Designer then they always have a spot on my blog! Marlo from "Real Housewives Of Atlanta" was wearing a stunning Lela Rose dress on "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" Reunion special.

Below is a picture of Marlo in the Lela Rose Dress

The Lela Rose Dress is from her Resort 2012 collection. The color on Marlo is perfect and the beaded shoulders adds some personality to the dress.
